Guardian Angels
Last Time:
After Isan filled in Erica and the other Angels on just what Saipia had planned, Saipia and the other Angels entered Mayor Ashley's personal residence, hoping to arrest her and get some questions about Sebastian answered. However, as Saipia began her charge into Ashley's office, the human swung open the door and sliced off Saipia's right arm with a sword. But, to everyone's amazement, the only blood that came from the severed limb was purple lubricating fluid. "Dammit! Do you know how much this body cost?" she screamed at the human as she grabbed her by the collar and brought her only inches from her face.
Episode 21: "Unravel" Part 3: "I"
"You did have your body insured, right?" Erica asked, as Jimmy and Ashley stilled tried to wrap their brains around what was going on.
"Of course. But it's still a pain in the ass. And I have yet to find an insurance company that will pay for repairs done by my mother. Although, I guess she won't charge for..." Saipia took a moment's pause to remove the rest of the arm from her shoulder.
"W-what are you?" Ashley asked.
"I'm a cyborg. I would have thought that was obvious. No android..." Saipia started.
"Yeah. Androids definitely don't have the emotional range that you do. And from your smell, I'd say you're about ninety..." Erica sniffed Sapia's body to make sure she got the number right, "...three percent machine. Most of your brain, heart, a lung, stomach, and most of your intestines are all real. Won't be too much longer now, though. Seventy-odd years has to be taking it's toll on those organs."
"Don't be a smart ass, Erica. Jimmy, cuff this bitch and get her out of my site. You can add attempted murder of a cop and destruction of government property to her long list of felonies," Saipia spat and waited for Jimmy to comply and leave the house before turning to the leopard. "And if you must know, Captain, I'm scheduled for a fitting of a 100% prosthetic body next week. Should be getting the real thing sometime next month. My heart and lung are already worn out almost completely. That's why I took that nice long vacation, and why I've been trying to work out more."
Erica smiled and patted her commander on the shoulder while pulling out her phone. Saipia was a little surprised by the action. "What are you doing?" asked the wolf.
"I'm calling your mother. I'll have her meet us back at the precinct and inform her of the damage," Erica replied as the two officers headed out towards the van.
Outside, James and Jack were already getting the crime-scene tap up. Upon seeing Saipia walking out carrying her own arm in pieces, Jack, James and Bryan quickly ran to see if she was alright. Bryan huffed at the sight of the mechanized arm. "I'm sorry, Commander, but my cyborgs aren't my specialty."
"Yeah, but I know a couple bioengineers personally. Speaking of, Erica, cancel the appointment with my mother, call Kammy. She does a better job anyway," Saipia replied.
With that, Erica promptly hung up on the ringing phone and closed her cellphone. "Well, she should be waiting at home for us. Shouldn't take that much longer. James could write up the report if you want," remarked Erica.
"What, you think you're coming home with me, or something?" Saipia asked.
"Yeah. You're not driving my truck home without my permission. Besides, I'm your bodyguard, aren't I?" Erica said.
Saipia gave a tired smile and a heavy sigh. "Yeah. I could use a good nap right about now. It's been a long day. It's been a while since I've seen the inside of a jail cell."
"And it better be the last time for a while. I don't like having to arrest you, Commander," Erica scolded as everyone climbed into the back of the van.
Saipia shrugged. "Thanks for knocking some sense into me, though. Not maybe people would take on a cyborg with their bare hands."
"Speaking of, can you really kick Saipia's ass, Erica? Or was that just an act?" Jimmy questioned.
Erica and Saipia laughed at the question. "No, she really can kick my ass. And I've been trying to get a body that can keep up with her, too. Maybe when I become a full cyborg. I mean, she's nearly fifty-years younger than I am," Saipia admitted.
"Don't make excuses. You can control that body pretty well. Although, I don't think I've fought you in that new body you're wearing, currently, but I don't think you could beat me with only one arm. Hell, you barely kept up with the Coalition," Erica said.
"Hey, Kammy has a new body as well. As does a few of them. Isan's body is mostly prosthetic as well. And those guys fight amongst each other all the time," Saipia replied.
"You've had fifty years to build up your skills, Tiffany," Erica countered.
"Hey, if you don't want more stitches in your back, you'll refrain from calling me that ever again," Saipia warned as she put a clawed finger close to Erica's nose.
"That will never happen again. You caught me off guard once because I apparently underestimated your damn jealousy. I won't make that mistake again," growled Erica.
""Hey, there's no room for you two to be fighting in this van. So just calm down," James barked.
"Sounds like both of you could use a nap," Jack replied.
"I don't know, I think it'd be fun if they both kill each other," commented Ashley.
"Don't make me duct tape your mouth shut," Jimmy warned.
* * *
"Purple?!" Kammy exclaimed as she examined the damaged arm. "She's still using this crap? And this connection point is old. And there's still actual metal? This looks like the stupid maidbot did when I first cracked her open twenty years ago."
Saipia laughed a bit and shrugged as best as she could. "It feels better than the old model. And it doesn't have that stupid metal belt that made me look like a furry C3-PO."
"I would assume stuff like this is why Linda hasn't invited me to join her company. However, if she's going to screw around and make her own daughter live in such inferior..." Kammy continued.
"Hey, you do realize you, Erica and most everyone else in this house has that same technology, right?" Isan interrupted.
"Not for long. I mean the response time with this technology is slow. My maidbot could probably kick your ass," the younger lioness retorted.
"Well, are you going to build me a new body or are you just going to rant?" Saipia asked.
"Of course I'm going to build you a new body, but don't you need a new arm first?" the feline asked still holding the two halves of the destroyed arm.
Saipia shook her head and motioned for Kammy to follow her. "I keep forgetting that only a couple of you know just what happened to me and why I'm in a prosthetic body," the wolf commented as she approached the door to the basement of the house. She tapped in a code for the high-security door before opening it and descending into the depths with most of the Fifteen in tow along with Erica. "You guys have no idea what those two years without other Genoids was like." As she said this part, Saipia casually removed her left eye and held it in her hand, staring at the number 1 that was etched into it's service.
"Miss Jones, I see you have guests," came a familiar voice as the stairs entered a room filled with computers and monitors. Kammy was stunned and she was was in heaven.
"Yes, I do, Saundra. I believe you know most of them," Saipia replied.
"Indeed. The infamous Fifteen original Genoids. And their bodyguards. And it would look like you've received some damage," the woman commented from one of the monitors.
"Speaking of, Saipia. You said a sword did this? But, I'm seeing heavy duty wiring, carbon tube reinforcements and other safety features that are built in, but they all seem to have failed at once. Even with this old technology, a sword shouldn't have been able to make it clean through it," Kammy commented.
"Unless it was a sharp ass sword that was designed for cutting through that stuff," Erica counted.
"Yes. Captain Martin is correct. The sword would have had to have been a special sword. Either that or Saipia had turned off most of those safety features, as she has a habit of doing," Saundra corrected in a half scolding tone.
Saipia shrugged. "It makes me feel more real."
Erica sighed and took a step towards her friend and placed a knowing hand on her shoulder. After a moment she looked around at the faces of the Fifteen. "So, I suppose it is true what they say about you guys. Two souls in one body. I do wonder how many of your human souls have passed on? Or how many of your animal souls have? Fifty years is a long time."
"No. It's not as simple as that. It's not that I've lost my humanity or the wolf soul inside me, either. It's more like, over the years, both the human in me and the wolf have become one. And...I guess, dying six times doesn't help make things any clearer. Especially considering with each death I feel like it's harder to tell what I am anymore. Every once and a while I'll still hear Lasola's voice whisper to me. But, then, there are times when I hear Tiffany's voice. So, I guess, it's almost like the two souls have become three over the years. However, I would say Tiffany and Lasola have quieted down in recent years. It is a weird feeling. And confusing. I know my cop instincts come from Tiffany. But my jealousy and fierceness comes from Lasola. But some things about me...are all Saipia," explained the blue wolf.
"It's really quite and interesting subject. You should read her journals sometime," Saundra said.
"Well, one thing I do know, for sure: I hate these prosthetic bodies with a passion. I'm already lost as to who I am exactly, and being stuck in a machine doesn't help anything. Then you got the stupid ghosts from all the parts screaming at you," Saipia replied.
"I can fix that," Kammy piped up.
"Really? 'Cause that would be great. None of what they say makes any sense, either. Sometimes they'll argue about pointless things, and I'll have to go in and manually solve their stupid problem myself," pleaded the canine as she approached a platform and began to remove her clothes.
"You must be Kammy Moore. The realtor with a bio-engineering degree. I've heard you're extremely skilled. And if you're calling Miss Summer's work old and inferior, that does say something about your skill," Saundra commented.
"Not really. Linda has been improving the smoothness of the functions without updating her technology. I mean, she's still using purple lubricant. I've been using green and clear recently. I haven't even seen purple in a very long time," Kammy countered.
"Fascinating. If you'd like, you can design and update all her suits from here and the machines you see around you can build and fix any problems you find," Saundra offered as several machines descended upon Saipia's form and began to remove her head, arms, legs and other pieces of her body, leaving only living organs suspended in mid air by a simple frame and wires.
"Yes. If you ever need employment, Kammy, I'd be happy to put you to work here. Granted, I do have Saundra, but she's so far away. It'd be nice to have someone who could make repairs a bit faster and give me the latest updates," Saipia's voice said from somewhere within the computer system.
On the screens that lined two of the walls, three separate beings appeared. "Something with a little more room, would be nice," said the white feral wolf.
"Whoa!" Isan commented. "I've know we have several conscientiousnesses in us, but this is the first time I've ever seen them separated."
"It was a must when designing this system. I tried to do without separating them, and Tiffany and Lasola kept giving me grief," Saundra explained.
Kammy nodded. "Right. Plus the suits couldn't handle the load of essentially stuffing three people in at once. I've had to do the same thing. And it's nice to talk to the other two, as well."
"Speak for yourself. You ever talk with a wildebeest?" commented Bruce.
"You also tend to learn crap about your former self that you didn't like," said Saipia as her digital form scanned over data.
"Bite me, Princess," Tiffany barked. "At least I still have a since of duty when it comes to being a cop."
"It's been fifty years, Tiff. Even I've learned that duty means nothing if it's blind. What's the point of pride if your dead?" Saipia retorted.
"Here's a good question," Jimmy spoke up. "If you were all turned all those years ago, why haven't you guys aged much?"
Every member of the Fifteen shrugged at the question. "No one really knows. We assume it's a genetic defect. Basically a side effect for my father's stupidity. As far as we can tell, unless someone were to physically kill us, we're pretty much immortal. Especially with these prosthetic bodies."
"No. We're not immortal. Well, those of us in prosthetic bodies pretty much are. But, the rest aren't. They'll die of old age eventually. It'll just be about a thousand years or something," Kammy corrected as she looked over the schematics for all the suits in Saipia's arsenal.
"Five hundred twenty eight years, to be exact. Their bodies are also immune to a wide variety of diseases, including AIDS and cancer," added Saundra.
"So, have you decided on a suit yet, Miss Jones?" asked Lasola.
"Are you really in a hurry to be stuffed in a suit with that bitch?" Tiffany whined.
"I rather like Saipia. Although, I can certainly see why you do not, Tiffany. Regardless, she is a melding of both our minds," the wolf replied.
"I have decided on a suit. I'm just looking at something a moment," the blue Genoid said and almost instantly smiled to herself. "Ah, here we go." Things began to flash on a screen as commands were entered. Even Kammy was impressed by Saipia's skill.
"Whoa. You're actually trying to separate your conscientiousnesses," the lioness said.
"No. Not separate. I can't do that. To separate them would mean I would cease to exsist and they'd go back to being Tiffany and Lasola. And to let that happen, I'd need bodies, which I don't have and am not willing to spend the money on. I rather like being me and do not want to go back to being Tiffany...or Lasola. No. At the moment, I'm going to simply give them an extremely long leash. I'll send Tiffany to Hawaii, leave Lasola here, and then I can have my suits to myself. However, I'll still be in full contact with them at all times."
"That prospect would be a hell of a lot better if I could actually move around and wear a bikini," said Tiffany.
"Technically, you could if you wanted to possess one of the maidbots. However, if you did, Saundra would still have ultimate control over you. That isn't something that would sound like fun to me," Saipia said and entered her last few commands. As Saundra laughed, Saipia rubbed her hands together. "Now to give this a test drive. I'll be taking the luxury model for the evening."
Suddenly, a wall opened up to reveal several prosthetic bodies with white fur. Machines quickly went to work in taking one with obviously more realistic fur apart and putting it together around the wire frame that was waiting to receive them. "Luxury model? Are you kidding me? I saw those in a catalogue once and thought they weren't worth the five millions dollars it cost to buy them. Are you telling me you have two of those things?"
"Hell no. White fur is mostly for casual times while I'm not on duty. Blue fur is for work. Now, I did spend ten million or so on an armored suit, but it turned out to be a piece of crap. I'm glad I was able to get most of my money back," Saipia replied. By the time she was finished speaking, she was in her new body and looking up at the screen at Tiffany and Lasola. "It worked! These suits feel much better without two other people in here."
"I bet. I might have to try it out, eventually," commented Isan as her cellphone rang. The smile the lioness wore quickly faded as she read the name. "Yes, Sebastian?" She greeted the man with a little more disgust than she intended. She listened to him barking his orders for a moment then, without a word, hung up. "I don't think this is the right place for a conversation with that moron. Come on, cousins, duty calls."
"You want me to come along, too, Isan?" Kammy asked.
"No. You've got your hands full here. And, Saipia, don't take too long getting to him. I'm dying to kick his ass for what he did to my family," said the lioness.
"What he did?" Saipia questioned.
"Yeah. When he discovered that Kammy and the rest us were dead, and that idiot mother whine about making prosthetic bodies for the living, he killed us. Leaving only Isan alive. That's why she's the leader of the Coalition, now," Avron explained.
"And that bastard is going to die for that. You're lucky as hell I didn't kill him on the spot, Sai," Isan added through clenched teeth and fists.
"Hey. Don't kill him unless I give the okay. I don't want to have to throw you..." And before Saipia could finish, Isan spun around, closed the distance between them and planted a firm kiss on the wolf's lips.
"Like you even have to tell me. You should know me better than that," Isan said calmly, giving Saipia a look of love and loyalty before turning around and leading her family out of the basement and out of the house.
Erica was watching Saipia closely and as the door shut behind Isan, she made her way through the crowd. "Speaking of people leaving: Saipia needs her rest. She's had a long hard day. So, you guys need to beat it. We'll go over things tomorrow and finalize plans for..."
"You really going to let this bitch do that, Saipia?" Tiffany argued from somewhere behind Erica.
"Alright, that's quite enough out of you. It's time for you to come with me," Saundra replied and in a moment the image of the young, blonde Tiffany disappeared from the screen.
"You sure you want us to leave?" Rex asked.
"Hey, don't sit there and argue, get a move on. Both of us told you to leave, so get out," said Erica sternly.
Without another word, most everyone moved back up the stairs and left. The only ones that remained were Gjai, Kammy and their bodyguards. "Vicky? You're a bodyguard?" Erica asked.
"Oh yeah. I complete forgot that your little sister was Kammy's bodyguard," Saipia commented.
Erica gave the wolf a playful punch on the shoulder. "Forget? I've been tagging along with you for the past couple months and you just forgot that Vicky's a bodyguard?"
"Relax, Erica. It's not like I've been arrested or something," the younger leopard replied.
"I know. It's just that you never told me. Even when I called and asked if you had a job, yet," Erica scolded.
"I didn't when you asked," Vicky replied.
"I asked you yesterday, Victoria. I was going to give you some money and offer you a place to stay. Glad I didn't, you little weasel," Erica growled. Vicky shrugged, knowing she'd be caught and there wasn't anyway out of it. Erica then turned towards the raccoon that was standing a few feet away. "And you are by far the worst bodyguard I have ever met."
"How do you figure that?" the female rodent asked.
"I've known Saipia and Gjai for close to ten years and never once have I met you, Lacy Stevenson," Erica replied.
"Then how do you know my name?" Lacy asked.
"I'm a profiler and I'm VERY good at my job. I've known about the Fifteen and the Halves for about ten years. Most of the names of the bodyguards are listed on wills and crap. The only one that isn't is Vicky," explained Erica as she folder her arms over her breasts.
Saipia sighed. "Come on, Erica," she said as she grabbed the leopard's hand and practically dragged her up the stairs.
"Goodnight, Saipia. See you in the morning," Kammy called.
"Yes. Goodnight, Saipia and Erica," chimed Vicky.
"But, Saipia, I want to..." protested the older leopard.
"It's not important. I'll explain it to you over breakfast tomorrow," Saipia countered. "Now, wish everyone a goodnight."
"Goodnight, everyone," Erica waved to the group below before being dragged through the doorway.

As Isan and her cousins entered Sebastian's office, it was obvious they were all ready for a good night's sleep. "Where's Kammy?" demanded the human almost instantly as Isan and the others plopped into the various chairs and sofas that adorned the room.
"She's working on some upgrades for our prosthetic bodies. Be a shame to interrupt her," Isan answered.
Sebastian didn't really like that answer, but he wasn't brave enough to challenge the lions. "Whatever. Tell me, Coalition, why has Mayor Ashley been arrested?"
"Because she's a criminal and belongs there. Kinda like you," Avron commented as he quickly rose to his feet.
"Hey, Avron, I've got this. Just back off and let me handle it, alright?" Isan ordered.
"You better watch yourself, Avron. You're forgetting that I can control you with a push of a..." Sebastian's rant was cut off by Isan's big, muscular, feline hand with fully extended claws wrapped around his throat and her big, sharp teeth half an inch from his face.
"NO! YOU better watch YOURSELF, Sebastian Stone. You killed my family just to suit your own desires and you honestly think I'm just going bow to you like some pathetic dog? I am a lioness, you dumbass. You ever talk to me or my family like that again, I'll break you in half. Now, I don't give a damn about what happened to Ashley. We were not in charge of her, and even if we were, we sure as hell aren't going to stick around and wait for Saipia to kick our asses again. In fact, she'll probably be paying you a visit tomorrow. And I'm still debating whether I should let her kick your ass or if I should kill you myself. Now, if you have nothing else for us, we're tired and would like to get some sleep," Isan growled and slammed him through the desk that sat near a window along a wall.
One could almost smell the urine staining Sebastian's shorts as he picked himself up from the remains of the desk. He watched as his personal bodyguards headed for the door. "You had better be here in the morning."
Isan paused and looked at him out of the corner of her eye. "If you think for a second that we're going to protect you, you dumber than I thought. Just like we'd never sleep with you. No. If Saipia does come here, you're on your own, little man. Granted, we'll show up, if only to watch her rip you apart, but, to be honest I really should get back to my real job," she said as she slowly moved away from him.

The next morning, Saipia allowed Erica to drive her to work without much grief. The drive was actually rather peaceful and calm. "So, you enjoying having a prosthetic body all to yourself?" asked Erica about ten blocks from the precinct with the sun just starting to rise over the horizon.
"Yeah. It's great. Although, I can still feel them and communicate with Tiffany and Lasola, it's nice not having them in my head arguing with me over every little thing," replied the blue wolf with a fair bit of drowsiness still in her eyes.
"Right. And I heard Kammy finished upgrading at least one of your prosthetic suits before she hit the hay. I would assume that's the one you're wearing. It looks nice, how does it feel?" the leopard questioned.
Saipia held up her right hand and opened and closed it a few times. "It feels much better. Almost as if it were made of flesh and blood. Truly a work of art. Remind me to give Kammy a nice big check for her work. One equal or greater to what I pay Saundra."
Erica smiled at Saipia's satisfaction. "That's good. I hear that she made the skin of all the blue-furred suits completely bulletproof via her own design. If that's true, I'll have have her replace my fur and limbs."
"Right. Maybe she should be the prosthetic supplier of the Hollywood PD. Mom can still be our doctor, but Kammy does a much better job," suggested Saipia.
"Yeah. Although, I think your mother would have a fit," replied Erica as she eased the truck into the parking garage of the precinct. "But, the real question is, are you ready to go after Sebastian?"
The two women exited the truck an took a moment to finish their conversation. "As ready as I'll ever be. Besides, we're not going to do much when we find him. I suspect Isan will have some information for me, as will James and Ashley. Shouldn't be too hard. But I'm sure he's got security tight around that tower. Anyway, the new recruits should be here. It'll be good to have them on this mission."
"Speaking of, what ever happened to Greg?" Erica asked.
"He was hurt pretty bad. Would have actually hired him if he pulled through, but he actually ended up dying from his wounds. Poor guy," Saipia explained and proceeded towards the doors of the building.
As the two entered the elevator to ascend to their floor, a young human officer that was in the box with them kept glancing in their direction. Sensing he was planning to do something stupid, both Erica and Saipia made sure their ranks were visible, which quickly made the boy stop his train of thought. As soon as the doors opened, he jumped out and turned towards the women. "Later, Captain and Commander," he called with a salute.
It was a silent ride from there. Quietly, they waited for the doors to open again. When they did, they eased out into the cubicle laden floor. It appeared to them, that they were the first to arrive. "Good," Saipia commented and quickly hurried into her empty office. "Wake me when the others arrive."
Erica nodded and laughed at the comment as Saipia shut her door. Obviously, the commander didn't get enough sleep the night before. Erica had considered letting her sleep in, but didn't want to risk getting yelled at. But, she wasn't going to fight her boss if she wanted to take a nap before everyone arrived. That said, before Saipia went to sleep, Erica slipped in the office and picked up the files for the new recruits. They were supposed to be arriving soon, and she didn't want them to wake up Saipia so soon.
Even as the leopard shut the door, she was greeted by an African Wild Dog who was about to enter Saipia's office. "May I help you, Officer?" Erica asked.
"Yes, Captain. I'm looking for Commander Saipia," the canine replied.
"Right. Well, she's a little busy at the moment and doesn't want to be disturbed. At the moment, I'm in charge. So, why don't you take a seat at these desks with me and we go over details of Sebastian's hideout," Erica replied and lead the new comer away.
* * *
An hour later, Saipia finally exited her office and straightened out her uniform. "Alright, everyone, I want my new members front and center," she quickly ordered and the four new Angels quickly lined up about a foot in front of the desks. The blue wolf slowly paced in front of them with her hands neatly clasped behind her back. "Uniforms appear to be in order. You all arrived on time. So far, you're all off to a good start. Not that I had any doubts. I pick my team members very carefully. Speaking of, why don't I introduce you all to the rest of the team. To do that, as I call your name I want you to step towards me and turn around, understood?"
"Yes, ma'am," the four said in unison.
"Alright. Officer Candy Stevens. Communications expert and a black belt in Judo with an impressive knowledge of hand-to-hand combat techniques and weaponry. Normally, I wouldn't hire someone named Candy, so you can image how impressed I am with your file," Saipia called.
Instantly, a black and white rabbit standing in between the African Wild Dog and a male lynx stepped forward and turned around. "Thank you, Commander," she said.
Saipia nodded in response before calling out the next officer. "Officer Timothy Dragon. Behavior expert and small arms expert. And by small arms expert, I mean he can't hit the broad side of a barn, but he can tell you what kind of round hit the broad side of a barn and what gun fired it simply from the smell of the gun powder and the shape of the hole. I think those skills might just come in handy during this mission." The lynx stepped forward and turned around next.
"Officer Torassa. Never did take the time to learn your last name, and I don't think it really matters. One of the few first-generation Genoids still alive and by far the youngest. Speaks twelve different languages, a encyclopedic knowledge of gangs and survived a run in with some of Sebastian's goons. Impressive, to say the least," Saipia continued.
The African Wild Dog stepped forward and smiled at the commander before turning around.
"Finally, we have Officer Synder Bones. Former ASPCA agent. Transferred to my department on my own personal request. I know, especially speaking for myself, that a lot of Genoids can display animal instincts. You, Synder, are the best mammal behavior expert in the city. Not only that, but you are a very excellent shot. I would assume, however, you are good enough to shoot six rounds through a single hole because of prosthetics. I can certainly smell them in you. After doing some digging I have come to discover that you are also a first-gen Genoid as well. Only you weren't combined with animal genes. You were built using prosthetic parts. You, Mr. Bones, are an android," Saipia finished.
"You are very observant, Commander. And it is an honor serving under you, by the way," commented the chocolate lab.
"Right. Now, with that out of the way: Erica, do you have the plans ready?" Saipia asked.
"Yes ma'am. Tossa and I finalized things while you were busy in your office," the leopard replied.
Saipia rolled her eyes at her commander. "Don't say it like that, Captain. I was just taking a nap. You make it sound like I had my hand down my pants for the past hour."
Erica was happy that her skin could no longer reveal that she was embarrassed. "Whatever, trying to keep you out of trouble with the chief," Erica commented as she wrapped her arms around her chest and pointed towards chief Anderton who was standing close by.
Saipia glanced his way and scoffed. "I'm not too worried about him scolding me for it. He knows I'm not as young as I used to be."
"Speaking of, Commander, I want to talk to you about something when you finish this mission," said the chief.
"Anyways, is everyone ready to get this party started?" Saipia asked her team, merely nodding at the chief's comment.
"Are you going to wait for the Fifteen?" James asked.
Saipia shook her head.
"They'll meet us there and provide backup and support. The main mission, however, is our mission. That's why I wanted the new recruits here. Here's how this is going to work. I want four teams: Team 1 will consist of me, Erica, Jimmy and Tossa. We'll go in first and head up the main squad. Jack and Synder, you two are the sniper team. Both of you are great with a rifle and I want you on two separate buildings providing support. James, since your my heavy weapons expert, I have a brand new toy for you. I hope we won't need it, but it just might come in handy. In addition to carrying the big gun, you'll be heading up the second team which will consist of you, Tim and Candy. Bryan, you're team 4. Since you're a simple doctor, you're going to stay back and tend to any wounds that need tending to," explained the blue wolf.
James shook her head and gave her boss a half scolding look. "You know, technically you should be on in the support team."
"No. I'm can't die as easily as you can. Because of that, I'm going in first. I should, technically have Synder on my team, but he can be more of an asset at a distance. I also considered putting you on my team, James, since you have a plenty of prosthetics, but I'm not ready to have the new recruits on a team by themselves. Besides, after my last meeting with Tossa, she should have plenty of prosthetics, herself. I'd say at least a lung," retorted Saipia.
Tossa nodded. "A lung, my heart, three ribs, and various other parts. I'm still getting used to them, but I shouldn't have any problems keeping up."
"Right. Also, I do NOT want any police vehicles visible to anyone looking out from the top floor of that building. That means park a good distance away and walk there. I would also suggest that you bring some nice trench coats to disguise your outfits until you get to your positions. Snipers, you'll want more elaborate disguises. The key is to not tip off Sebastian to our presence until it's too late. If he finds out we're coming, we're dead. Even with the big gun I have in store, we'd be hard pressed to get anywhere near the front of the building. Speaking of: James, why don't you lead your team in from below or through the back. Just in case the front of the building gets compromised.
"Now, unlike most of you, Erica and I can change our appearance a bit more thoroughly, which we will be doing for this operation. I would recommend, though, that everyone does their best to hide their identiies. I suspect that Sebastian will have facial recognition software running and probably some body recognition software," warned the wolf.
"Understood. I think, if Mr. Taylor and I are going to be snipers, we should start getting weapons ready and get going," Synder commented as he started to move.
"Yes, you should. As for the rest of us. Lets give them a good twenty minute head start and my team will get going. Team 2, I want you to wait another ten minutes after that before you leave. In the meantime, we should all sign out the weapons we're going to use and start getting ready. This isn't going to be easy. But it's going to be a hell of a lot of fun," ordered Saipia as everyone started casually moving around to get ready for the raid on Sebastian's headquarters.
